About the university
The Babeș-Bolyai University (BBU) is the largest university in Romania with a total number of approximately 46.800 students studying at bachelor, master, PhD and executive levels and with a total number of 22 different schools/faculties covering a wide range of scientific areas, including business and economics. The university was originally founded in 1581, building thereby on an academic history and tradition of more than 440 years. BBU is a multicultural university, offering full programs in 3 different languages (Romanian, Hungarian, German), together with several educational programs in English, French and Italian.
According to several major international rankings, BBU is also the number #1 university in Romania (e.g. QS World University Rankings 2023, ARWU/Shanghai Ranking 2022), scoring generally high on indicators related to research capabilities.
About the faculty
The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of the BBU is also the largest stand-alone higher education faculty in Romania with almost 9.000 students, over 200 full-time teaching and research employees, and almost 150 additional associated teaching and research staff. The faculty offers a variety of educational programs in 5 different languages (Romanian, Hungarian, German, English and French) on bachelor and master’s level, coupled with PhD and executive programs in English. The faculty is also ranked as the best business school in Romania in international rankings, having an intensive research focus and being strongly embedded in the society and business networks of the region.

About the accommodation for participants
The Babeș-Bolyai University operates an own hotel (Hotel Universitas) used generally to accommodate distinguished guests, invited lecturers or award-winning partners from various universities and professional organizations from all around the world, not having a public booking option. For the proposed dates the university can offer accommodation in the hotel, in single-occupancy rooms, the cost of which is included in the participation fee.
