Levente Szász is a full professor of Operations & Supply Chain Management at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of the Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, being in the same time vice rector of the university responsible for quality assurance and entrepreneurial relations. He was also visiting professor of Supply Chain Management at the Catholic University of Lille (France), Budapest Business School (Hungary) and taught Operations Management at the joint MBA program of the Fudan University (China) and the Corvinus University of Budapest (Hungary).
He has finished his doctoral studies in 2011 within the domain on Operations Management at the Babeș-Bolyai University, successfully completing doctoral courses at the Corvinus University of Budapest (Hungary) and the University of Cambridge (UK). He has worked for several years as a strategic and financial consultant at a local consulting firm, assisting foreign firms to enter the Romanian market.
His current research focuses on business digitalization, with a special focus on the interrelatedness of Industry 4.0 solutions and human resources at manufacturing companies. Besides Industry 4.0, he has previously published research on the servitization of manufacturing, sustainable manufacturing, and knowledge transfer within the internal manufacturing network of multinational companies.
